Openings
Please email Prof. Yi directly to inquire regarding openings.
For postdoc candidates, a PhD degree in experimental condensed matter physics is required, preferably with experience in one or more of the following techniques: lab-based and/or synchrotron-based ARPES, x-ray scattering, 2D material devices, molecular beam epitaxy, with demonstrated prior work on quantum materials such as strongly-correlated materials, magnetic materials, and/or topological materials. Interested candidates please provide your CV and a brief description of your research interests. Also note the postdoc fellowship opportunities at Rice (RAMI Postdoctoral Fellowship Program; Rice Academy of Fellows; Smalley-Curl Institute Fellowships).
For graduate student candidates, please apply directly to the PhD program in the Physics and Astronomy Department or Applied Physics program at Rice. For admitted students, please contact Prof. Yi directly.
We are always looking for highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students to join our group. No prior experience is required except a genuine curiosity and self-drive!
